Ssanti is the alter ego of musician, composer and producer Giancarlo Bonfanti. His interest in neoclassical music and his passion for alternative rock led him all the way to England so he could get a serious musical education at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), curated by sir Paul McCartney. After a year, he then went off to enroll at the London College of Creative Media (LCCM).

During this period of time he was member and co-founder of the band Deco Pilot, with which he recorded a couple of EPs and toured throughout different cities of Europe and Mexico. Besides developing his own style with the piano and synthesizers, these years helped to shape him as a musician and allowed him to understand the needs that a band has the moment they set foot in a recording studio.

It was because of this and the fact that he wanted to master all the tools within a professional recording studio that he decided to go back to his home town, Mexico City, to obtain a degree in Audio Engineering & Music Production. During his last year of university (2019), Giancarlo was assistant engineer at “Fonobox” and “Estudio 13”, two of the most active studios in the city.

Ever since, it has gotten quite busy: he took the role of music producer for the band Álamo Paraíso recording their EP Visiones (released 2020) as well as producing their full length debut album which is to be released in the spring of 2021. He has also been doing a bit of engineering and arranging synth parts for the upcoming debut album of rock artist Vicente Jauregui and has become part of the music composing team for the Poseidon Theatre Company based in NYC. His versatility and creativity as a keyboard player was not overlooked by mexican band San Pascualito Rey, and has been playing with them since the beginning of last year.
A work of art is good if it has arisen out of necessity. That is the only way one can judge it.
